TYLER BICYCLE CLUB
RACE TEAM POLICY
1. Generally, race teams will organize and govern themselves.
2. Teams will select their own captains and agree upon their own set of
rules.
3. Rules should require commitment, but should attract and encourage
club members wishing to join.
4. Any club member wishing to join and agreeing to follow the rules
should not be excluded.
5. All race team members should wear Tyler jerseys when racing as a TBC
race team member.
7. A copy of the team rules should be presented to TBC officers for
approval. The rules, including eligibility requirements, should be
published to the club at large.
8. A representative of each race team should attend monthly meetings of
the TBC.
9. Teams should publish team news/results in the monthly newsletter.
10. Team captains should feel welcome to attend monthly TBC officers
meetings.
11. TBC will provide financial support to the extent of available funds.
The race teams that we have had in the past have responded to
these general rules. In the past people that have been
interested in racing have grouped and organized themselves.
TBC has been there to support. A lot of the success in the past was a
reflection of the enthusiasm and commitment that became contagious.
