Gnarly Dog MTB Events

 We are stressing participation this year with several opportunities to puke on your shoes if you want to ride hard.  You roadies should enjoy the Alp de Black Jack Time Trial, which will start at the old park road and finish at the campground.

 Clinics/Group Rides Start at 1:30 PM, Blackjack campground. Clinics will consist of a short instructional session and then we will split up into groups based on skill level and go out and practice in no drop group rides.  Our version of "no child left behind".

 Time Trials sign up starts at 1:15 PM, first rider starts at 2PM.

 Events are cancelled if the trails are closed.

 We will fire up the grill after the group rides, bring something to throw on the fire.

 All events are free and open to everyone (excluding the Steel Sports12/24 hour race).

 We hope you’ll want to join the club when you see how much fun we have.

 The Gnarly Dog Time Trials are races against the clock on the mountain bike trails at Tyler State Park's Blackjack campground.

 Post Gnarly Dog comments/questions to the TBC Forum!

 Races are open to anyone with a bike.

 There is no cost.

GNARLY DOG TIME TRIAL RULES

1.  NO Whining!!!! Automatic Disqualification!

2.  Have FUN!!!! THIS IS NOT A STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!!!!!
     This is for fun and a good work out-------Don't take it so seriously.
     The prizes are not worth stressing out about.
     See if you can improve your time during the series.

3.  Faster Riders MUST Pass with caution and safety.
     Any contact with another rider will result in an automatic disqualification.
     Ask for the trail as early as possible and call the side you are passing on.

4.  Slower riders MUST allow faster riders by at first safe opportunity.

5.  It is your responsibility to know the trail.
     If you miss your finish exit you will not be given a time.
     We will attempt to have course marshals.

 Sandbagging will not help as this winner will be selected by a panel of impartial judges who can spot a sandbagger a mile away!
