24 miles of trails that are rarely ridden. Here is a map I made on June 1, 2006 that begins
at the alternate entrance on HW 1804 between Lindale and HW 80. It is a very primitive trail
with great views of the Sabine River. This is not a groomed trail, and I don't know of
anyone else who has ridden it, but the TPW website lists it for bikes as well as hiking.
Some places are a little grown up and there are several places where you must dismount
to go over fallen trees. It can only be ridden when it is dry, and it will probably be too
overgrown later in the summer. I rode it during the winter and it was not bad at all.

My favorite bike route in the Tyler area is UT Tyler, very lovely single track, but no real challenges. This is really only worth it if you live within riding distance of the campus. I would estimate there is a mile or mile 1/2 of total trail. Nice evening ride.
